Spring Break and the Phoenix Zoo

We're nearing the end of our Spring Break and April and I took our youngest kids (Rylie, Race and Ashton) to the Phoenix Zoo. (Our older children are on the Stake Pioneer Trek.) The kids all had a good time, the weather was perfect, and their favorite exhibit was the "Stingrays". Who knew petting stingrays could be so fun! We also rode camels, as you can see from the picture of April and me. Lots of fun!

  1. After seeing your picture I thought you would need to know the following:

The world camel population is close to 19 million.

The dromedary camel can drink as much as 100 litres of water in just 10 minutes.

The hump of a camel can weigh up to 35 kilograms.

A camel can store 9,753 lost car keys in one hump.

  2. You and April look very cute on that camel--wish I could have joined you, but, alas, I had to go to Hawaii for Spring Break!!
